Letter to Parents - chromebook distribtution 2020

Dear St. George Families, 

If you need a Chromebook at home during the school closure because you do not have one or  do not have enough devices for your St. George students, please complete the following steps: 

STEP 1: View and discuss the Training Video (attached as pdf) with your student(s). 

STEP 2: Read and discuss the STUDENT/PARENT AGREEMENT AND PERMISSION FOR  USE OF CHROMEBOOK (Attached) with your child. You may print this off, sign and bring the form in during pick-up or forms will be available for you to sign at pick-up.  

STEP 3: Complete and submit the Chromebook Request Form. Chromebook Request Form For each child that you request a Chromebook, please complete a separate form. 

Distribution of Chromebooks can only occur upon completion of the three steps. 

The distribution of Chromebooks will occur on Tuesday, March 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The parental loan agreement will be available at Chromebook  pick-up. ONLY the parent can pick-up and sign-out Chromebooks for their OWN student.  

Please understand that students will be using Chromebooks throughout the day on Monday,  March 16 at school. We need time to check the condition of the Chromebooks, sanitize them,  and assign them to students. We are unable to distribute Chromebooks on Monday, March  16, 2020. 

We realize that your home internet may be taxed at this time. We are investigating options that  companies are making available and will share that information with you as it becomes  available.
