About Mrs. Argenta

Hello! I started teaching at St. George Elementary in 2021-2022 school year. I have started my teaching adventure in 2016. I have taught in various settings from Pre-K to 2nd Grade. I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor's degree concentrating on Child and Adolescent Development. I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University for Early Childhood Education. I have an Early Childhood Special Education Approval.

I'm excited to work with the students, families and staff here at St. George. I love the small community feel and support this school has to offer. I went to a school much like St. George. I love that I am raising my children in the same town I grew up and they are going to the same school I did as a child. I have three wonderful and active children. They take up most of my free time, but some hobbies that I enjoy are crafting and exploring nature. I love spending time outdoors between camping, swimming and sitting on my porch watching the birds while drinking iced coffee.

Pre-K is my favorite! I fell in love with Pre-K when I was a Special Education paraprofessional. It is all about making messes and exploring. Messy play is the basis for early STEM learning. Using hands-on play is beneficial for encouraging language and communication skills, practices concentration, and promote physical development. We will get messy, but we are learning!

"It takes a big heart to help shape little minds" is one of my favorite quotes for teaching.
