All About Mrs. Johnson

I started teaching Special Education ELA at St. George in 2019.  I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2009 with my Bachelors Degree in Special Education.  In 2014, I graduated from Governors State University with my Masters Degree in Reading.  I have taught first grade through high school and have worked with students in transitional programs (ages 18-22).  My favorite grade level to teach is middle school, so I LOVE teaching ELA here at St. George.

In my free time, I love going fishing, reading, and playing with my dogs, Barney and Bindi.  You’ll soon find out that pets are a big part of our classroom. I really enjoy exchanging pet stories with my students.  We even have a class pets display with all of our pets in the classroom.  I am looking forward to seeing my returning students and meeting new students this year.  Let's have a great year!
