Dear St. George CCSD No. 258 Families,
Please note a calendar change occurring this week. Thursday, February 25, 2021, will be a Remote Instruction Day for all St. George School students. Students should plan to log-in according to the schedule below.
Instruction for all K-8 students today will take place synchronously (live and at the same time) according to the following schedule:
Grades K-4 - Students should sign into Google Classroom by 7:50 a.m. The live classroom portion of the day will conclude at 12:00 p.m. Students will have an additional 50 minutes of classwork to complete to meet the required five (5) hours of State mandated instruction minutes.
Grades 5-8 - Students should sign into Google Classroom by 8:20 a.m. The live classroom portion will conclude at 12:40 p.m. Students will have an additional 50 minutes of classwork to complete to meet the required five (5) hours of State mandated instruction minutes.
Prekindergarten - Students will receive an email from their preschool teacher for the day’s assignments.
6-8 Grade Band - Students should sign into Google Classroom by 7:45 a.m.
On Wednesday, February 24, 2021, approximately 50% of the St. George School staff will be receiving the second dose of the Moderna vaccine. Given the high frequency of mild to moderate reactions to the second dose, concern exists that we may be unable to provide staffing for on-site classes, busing service, and/or food service. This decision is being communicated to parents now so that arrangements for child care can be made. Students who want lunch service will receive a take-home sack lunch on Wednesday for Thursday. On-site instruction will resume on Friday, February 26, 2021.
