Hello, my name is Crystal Johnson, Director of Special Services  at St. George CCSD 258.  As Director of Special Services, I am responsible for overseeing that students with disabilities are provided a free, appropriate public education in accordance with state and federal mandates.  St.George School District 258 provides district-wide support to building staff and our community regarding the education of students with disabilities, who may qualify under either Section 504 or the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Under either provision, St. George School District No. 258 supports the intent of the federal and state mandate to meet student needs in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE). In meeting the requirements of LRE, our school community continues to embrace inclusive instructional practices, which are designed to provide accommodations and/or special education services within the context of the general education setting to the greatest extent possible.
