James Robinson Award Recipients

This award is given to an 8th-grade boy and girl that displays excellence in the classroom and on the court/field, a positive attitude at all times, and an excellent work ethic. They are a true representation of the expectations set forth by St. George School, athletically, behaviorally, and academically. The names will be engraved on a plaque that is displayed by the office.

History

Jim Robinson’s children attended St. George School. As a parent, he wanted the best for his children, as we all do.  He instilled in his children to always do their best, to strive for excellence both in the classroom and on the court.  On one fateful evening, Jim had attended and helped out at a home St George basketball game as he had done numerous times before. Upon returning home after the game, Jim suddenly passed away. Jim’s wife, Sherry, and her family wanted to keep Jim’s memory ongoing with the presentation of this award each year.  Students are nominated and selected by the athletic staff.
